Painter Hourly Cost

What is the general hourly cost of a painter. I need to a very small wall repainted (like 4 feet wide) and the building painter said he'd leave it up to me to decide what to pay him. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Assuming your wall doesn't require any special finish such as feathering or venetian plaster, I'd say $20-30 an hour or so. $80 or $100 total should suffice. But then again, I tend to be cheap.
