WARNING - Streeteasy and possible renters - this guy listing this ad is a scam. He's asking for money before viewing the apartment. I emailed him regarding this property and he gave me some story about the current residents are away on vacation. Streeteasy please remove this ad

Any rental listing, especially 'by owner', that looks too good to be true (like this one, half the rent of similar apartments) is a scam.

I'm not concerned. No NYer would fall for this. This scam is only intended for out of towners.

If it's ths same Nigerian that keeps emailing people asking for money, I would say that this listing might go south.
