The building I lived in had so many issues and it seems that they manage other buildings the same way. Some of the many issues are listed below. 1) Bad plumbing. This translates to you not being able to flush toilet paper in the toilet. This also means that when your upstairs neighbor is having the same issue, the ceiling will flood from your neighbor’s toilet. This event occurs about two times a year unless no one is living above you. 2) No hot water. They never announce that you will not have hot water; they just cut it off so you could come back from the gym and cannot shower. This issue happens multiple times a month. 3) Bedbug infestation. I have never experience this before so Stellar did me the honor of introducing this experience in my life. I asked them if they had known about this issue in their building and they just flat out denied it. Later on, we have neighbors who tell us that the building is infested and a big break out would occur every year or so where they have to bomb units full of poison. Having bedbugs is physiologically taxing, cost a lot of money with dry cleaning, cost a lot of time packing everything to prep for bombing, and you will end up living in ziplock bags for the rest of the time you’re in their bedbug infested buildings. 4) They keep losing rent checks so they keep tacking on late fees. They eventually remove the fees, but it’s still an additional frustration that you have to go through several times a year along with you dealing with no hot water, living in ziplock bags, and getting bit by mini-vampires. I would give this company a negative 10 rating if that was possible. I would definitely not rent any units if the management company is Stellar. If you are already living in their units, make sure to communicate in emails and summarize any phone conversations in emails so you can show them evidence of their incompetency.
