My wife and I are condsidering purchasing an apartment in NYC. I am not sure it needs a gut renovation. My wife would like to replace the tile on 2 walls and the sink in one bathroom that has recently been renovated . We also have to knock to down a kithen closet to make room for a bigger refridge. WE would also like to expand another closet. Apartment is going to need a paint job too. Any idea what the cost will be?

honestly, you need to get 3 different contractors in there to quote you, my guess is you will get vastly different amounts

Which walls? What is on them? The sink is not a big deal. What is the closet made out of? Is it Sheetrock or something else?as far as painting, what size apartment is it?
