you aren't referring to me? i wouldn't live there. but that doesn't mean hofo's analysis is correct. if i were a 24 year old female post grad and my parents were paying my rent, i'd consider normandie dorms. or rather, they'd probably consider normandie dorms (parents).

don't you live in a shitbox walk up in east harlem? are you jealous when you spy these buildings on your walk to the associated grocery?

I know peeps that live there who are very happy.

does everyone who lives in nyc have to be a particular age, income bracket etc to suit you?

dont you secretly lust after these girls as they sun themselves 35 floors above your craphole on the multiple sundecks, their bronze bodies toned from the gym and pool (that you don't have)?

normandie is just plain awful. there is always an elevator that is broken and it can take 20 min to go from lobby to your apartment, no joke. the one positive is i got in really good shape as i started walking the 30 flights to my apartment. also, apartment floors kept falling apart upon the spillage of the tiniest drop of water and also yappy dogs everywhere. main complaint though was elevators. was a disaster. if you insist on living there, live on a low floor. anyway, awful place all around.
