I was having a hard time posting in the other forum and thought my review would be helpful to other folks who have interest in purchasing at Rockwell. I closed on a two-bedroom at 96 Rockwell Place on September 1st 2011 after giving the building a second look, having looked at it a few years back when I started shopping for a condo in the area. i decided to buy right away this time around, and... I was seriously considering 96 Rockwell until I came across this very latest update on upcoming developments in the empty lots right across on Rockwell place. Click on the link below and watch the downtown brooklyn video. Pay close attention about 01:11 minutes into the video where the tiny 96 rockwell place condo appears with gigantic towers popping all around it!

Residents (especially 2 beds) are soon going to be plagued with construction pollution and will be left with NO commanding views of the city or 1 Hanson to enjoy (unless they like to stare right at buildings right in front of them across an already very narrow street)! I don't think the high purchase price and exorbitant CC's (for pretty much no amenities) is worth it anymore!!

unless the Philip Morris building is going to grow 20 stories the views of one hanson place will be there.

Good luck with your trolling JB32

OroBuyer7 - I'd be curious to know if you still feel the way that you posted back 16 mos ago? Thoughts on why #8c is priced at $150k above what 9C sold for back in June ?

@cwags

The building has appreciated significantly. My neighbor sold 8c for 940k. I made a great decision from an investment standpoint. I love the location. Super convenient and close to everything. Love the park, the shopping, the restaurants, the entertainment, and all the transportation options.

Best of luck on your sale of 9C. It's been on the market for over 100 days in a market where everything good sells in a week. Talking it up here isn't going to change the due diligence findings.

I apologize for being snarky, I hadn't had my coffee yet.
