All the units being sold at 157 Broome St are a scam. The "co-op board"(i use the term loosely) has no clue how to run a building and they've been losing money since it became an HDFC co-op about 2 years ago. There is NO management company, and instead all the work is done by the co-op board, which of course they pay themselves a hefty salary to do(is this even legal? who knows). This building is... I am not the only one that has had a bad experience with this building, i know the person that was trying to purchase 2A, which of course fell through, through no fault of his own. I would be more than happy to recount their story as well. I'm just doing my due diligence on SE and all I can do is warn people of this building(that is what this forum is for, no?). I will not resort to delving in to my personal opinion of this building & co-op, but there is certainly a reason there are PLENTY of available unts in there, and NONE of them have sold in 2 years, I wonder why? This is not a normal functioning co-op. BE CAUTIOUS.
