Discussion about
I see rentals for this building all the time I just want to let every one know how noisy this building is. There is construction on each side of the building and they start at 6 am. I am in the process of moving out of the building due to noise. I see that the agents are not telling any one about the noise when tring to rent the APts.
I saw rentals in this building and was definitely told of the construction by my broker.
Maybe you need a new broker!
Additionally, I was able to see it simply by having my eyes open at the time.
FYI,construction does not last forever.
I think the suburbs might be a better choice if you are so sensitive to construction.
In NYC, construction is something that needs to be anticipated and expected.
Good luck to you...
life, you are on Broadway and 55th. What are you expecting?
Hammy, construction just started in July, prior to that there was excavation but it seemed that no time was set for the buildings on both sides to come up (in fact the office tower had been in the making for more than 3 yrs).
We lived in the building as well, and besides the more recent issue of noise, would also like to point out the horrid heating that you cannot control, which forces you to keep your windows open in the middle of winter to regulate the temperature in your apt. Oh, and also, the party soundtrack blasting from the Dream hotel rooftop lounge, another gem for those looking to rest on a weekend night.
Oh, and in case you are wondering, construction planned all the way to 2015...
You can't control the heat in the great majority of older/non luxury rentals.
How's the noise these days?
How. Is. The noise. In the apts today
