Discussion about
Can it happen?
why don't you just get a real three bedroom? Loads at that price.
Thanks
Yes
I don't regularly work the UES but after a glance at my computer, it looks like it can happen if a) you have no pets and b) are willing to live very very far East.

As usual, depends on what exactly you're looking for. In my experience, there are definitely 1100-1400SF two-bedrooms with a dining room convertible to a third bedroom under $6K. Some under $5K. But if you want something bigger, or something with a high-end renovation, or "prime" location, that's tougher.
It is very possible to find.
How about no fee for 5500.. Saw an apartment in glen wood that was 2-3 bedroom but was 6k..... Need something like that but cheaper would be nice
my brother in law has a con.3 bed on York Ave. in the 60's. doorman building /high floor. newly renovated kitchen /hardwoods thru out. he just rented it for 5500$ . this is a short term lease of 3 months, while he tries living full time bet. Miami & the catskills. Ill check back here at the end of dec. to c if u found anything. he may b looking to rent for long term. good luck.
1375 sq feet
Would need at least 1 yr...
ok ill post here again in a month & good luck
230 East 79th has 2 bedrooms with a dining nook for $3,700.
Not for rent yet.... And the nook is tiny ... Also building doesn't allow walls... Thanks though.... Will keep looking
These are the two nicest I found...
This one's on park and 96, $6,000... http://streeteasy.com/nyc/rental/783960-rental-1235-park-avenue-carnegie-hill-new-york
64 between 1st and 2nd...$5,700...http://streeteasy.com/nyc/rental/790580-rental-340-east-64th-street-lenox-hill-new-york
Here is a thought. Why don't you get off your ass and go look for one as opposed to asking the board? Won't you have to eventually do that anyway? Why not just go and do it? Stupid thread, if you consider the information is available (some of it anyway) on the rental portion of this website and the rest a few appointments away.
96 is great size .. Problem is 12k broker fee ... And the one on 64 has an open kitchen.. So I can't convert the dining into bedroom.... Great building though , has a pool on roof... And great area ...
the 96th st and park apt for $6K is no fee.
200 E 72. No fee.
the 96th street apartment has a/c's in the windows.. thanks though...great size but not what i am looking for...
nice and realistic.
thanks nycrejunkie.....just called wellesley.......application is out on the 3bed...
thanks though

Since you lost an opportunity "dik"ing around here I'll repost the above. Best advice you'll get. By the time anyone here know's about a good apartment IT'S ALREADY GONE.
