I am looking for a one bedroom or large studio rental apartment allowing dogs in midtown, Lincoln Square, or UWS. Is that possible?

No, I'm afraid it's impossible. All dogs west of Fifth Avenue all the way up to Harlem live only in single-family brownstone homes.
