upper west side condo - bway & 88 St

Friend's friend bought 2 condo units in one building @ Broadway and 88 St. Both are JR4, one is $440k for 550SF, one is $520k for 600SF. Tax and condo fee is about $800/mo. Can anyone identify the building name? It really looks like a good investment opportunity. How to get this kind deal? Through broker or insider?

Probably 250 West 88th. 215 West 88th is a condo too (the Merrion), but those prices would be too low for 215 unless the apartments were occupied by rent-regulated tenants.

It's a non-doorman condo building. Both 250 and 215 are doorman building.
