Discussion about
Will it cause me trouble later on if I tip one doorman more than all the others...There are two per shift and one doorman is always so helpful and kind.

I have alawys tipped the more helpful doormen more than those who are less helpful. I doubt that they discuss amongst themselves the amounts of tips given by the owners/tenants. I feel that if you do a better job, you should be rewarded.

"I feel that if you do a better job, you should be rewarded."

Let their employers worry about that.

Do you really think that employers notice every interaction between tenants and doormen? I doubt it. They usually only have the super watching what is going on. In rental buildings, try getting the managing agent's office on the phone. Not so easy many of the time.

Julia - why won't you answer my other question? Did you sell the apt you bought three years ago? When?

Re: Julia - why won't you answer my other question?

Either you caught Julia in a little white Streeteasy lie, or she really doesnt know whether she owns or rents. I suspect the latter.

West34 - this is what Julia posted three years ago:

"julia
ignore this person
report abuse there are changes...nothing major...I recently bought an apartment but now I'm getting calls from realtors who had clients that would not budge and they are now willing to listen....too late for me but a slight move to sanity."

Julia - if you bought three years ago (as you said you did in a previous post), how is it that you've always rented? Just trying to understand.

Can you please reconcile with your post three years ago?
