I am considering purchasing an apartment that I feel would be improved by some renovation. The renovations would include removing part of a kitchen wall. Without having to hire an architect or contractor at this point in the process can I get the original blueprints for the apartment? Does the DOB have and online database of blueprints for apartment buildings that the public can view online and where can one find it? I know these type of things must be on file somewhere just not finding anything on Google.
