Discussion about
random... but anyone know who in the city carries biorb fish tanks? Petco only sells online, wondering if there is a place to see them. I figured a fish tank might be a nice addition to decor. Anyone have any experience with 'em?
Fishtanks aren't cool enough for people who abbreviate the word them.
when you try "google" "shopping" and then click "in stock nearby" option, the only manhattan retailer showing in store stock is Pet Smart at 632 broadway.
Oh andno experience. Haven't had a tank since a 120 gallon salt water aquarium in my late 20s. Never again.
Pacific Aquarium has them in stock. They are located on Delancey Street in LES.
Just bought an Aqueon 10 - the kids love the fish, but they keep dying!

PH balance, temperature, nitrates just to start.
And tell the kids to stop overfeeding the fish when your not looking. :)
interestingly, I called them... they said they don't have.
I used to have a tank.... and it was a bit of a pain. So I imagined maybe a simpler fishbowl with built in filter... googled it today and, lo and behold, that's what these are.
response was to petsmart.... pacific sounds like a good idea, thanks for the tip.
Just called Pacific Aquarium... they say they don't have any.
Sorry, I was thinking of the Fluval Edge. I think they're similar mini integrated fishtanks.
Ordinarily Id say just order one, they look pretty solid and not "cheap," however, it doesnt appear to be physically in a store anywhere. That is a bit of a red flag.
Every link that say "limited stock nearby" has no hyperlink to "stores," only to "online."
If a store won't set up a single unit to show, there's usually a bad reason for it.
Fluval edge looks cool... but I'm thinking round...
Yeah, truth, I hear you on that... but I can't find anything else like it. Seems to sell ok online (amazon, etc.)

mr. bluth has always had a 150 gallon salt water one. the pretty fishies are nice, but damn that is a time consuming hobby.
L - who gets the fish tank in the divorce?
he can have that stupid thing. i will just watch blue planet in hd when i want to look at some pretty fish. you don't have to feed those.
