Discussion about
Is there a reason the "talk" button was removed from the menu bar and relegated to the tiny link at the very bottom of the Streeteasy website? Someone sending a message...?
It's stil there. If you hover your mouse over the "more" tab, the talk tab appears.
They probably don't want fresh visitors exposed to the squabbles and "drivel spew."
I've asked myself the same thing, KW. It may just be a matter of time; I guess we can stay tuned & see what happens. It's been fun . . .
It has been fun. But too nasty too often. Threads almost invariably devolve into nonsense between 3-6 people. Too many threads related to broad economic issues that are not why people come to this site. Too many grossly inappropriate posts. And its gone on like this for a long time. I wouldn't be surprised if it all went away.
Perhaps I should take this opportunity to tell you again, KW, that you're a doll & I wish you well. <3
:) Funny little cyber world we've all created here. xo
Haha. No message. We were just space constrained, and it was a temporary solution. Talk lives!
Thanks SE, that was a close one!
Wouldn't be fair if aboutready, alanhart, and w67thstreet ruined it all for us by having left, and wbottom and apt23 by reducing their postings dramatically.
Separately, "shop for a broker" could be reduced to "find a broker" or even "broker find". And since you have to be an insider anyway to use it, there's little risk that someone won't understand.
"open house planner" could similarly be reduced to "open houses"
