I've worked for a big finance company in NYC for 12 years and 2011 is going to be a huge year for us and many big companies. But top line growth is actually nominal with so-called "productivity gains" (read: work ourselves to the bone) driving profits YOY. I am employed and paid well but I have to wonder "if this is it", the "new it". Do other professionals on this board notice a huge difference in hours worked, intensity and cultural expectations at work? Even measured against a baseline that was pretty intense pre-crises?
