Reducing noise from common areas

Can anyone recommend ways to reduce noise from the hallways and service elevator landing in my building? It often feels like I'm waiting for the elevator with them. Not to mention, I'd rather not hear each detail of my neighbors conversations.

if its the elevator doors, you could have a technician check it out..could be something in the door not working properly..theres also rubber stoppers they can put in that help as well.
