Discussion about
couple of questions about renting in nyc: - what is the standard length of rent landlords require you to sign for? - what is the minimum- could i do with a month and then prolong? - is it even possible for non us & non visa holders to sign up for a rental? - what is the deal with the credit history??? i don't have a us bank account as yet, so is it even possible for me to rent? - will all of the above also apply for lublets?? thanks!!! The standard rental is 1 year. There are a few buildings that will do less, but you pay a premium for those leases. You will most likely need to either use Insurent as a guarantor, which has a fee attached to it, or you will have to pay extra security or the full years rent up front. You will need a valid visa to rent
