Dario at E-Z Way Maintenance (347) 892-6535 came highly recommended to me. I used him, and I can now highly recommend him myself.

Used Verazzano Flooring. Did a good job, quick and knowledgeable.

Karl Anderson at Karl's Floor & Cleaning, (212) 491-9589, did a great job for us.

Try JC Martin & Sons, you can find more info on their wood floor refinishing service here http://www.jcmartinrenovation.com/wood-floor-refinishing

I use them for all my investment properties in Manhattan and Brooklyn, they used to be Inti Interior Finish but recently joined forces with Carlos Wood Floors hence the new name I guess...not sure. But good workers and professional service!

Best,
Adam

we used verrazano flooring as well. they were terrific--they know what they're doing. they clean up the messes all the time from the other wood flooring companies that offer those coupons in valu-pak.

they were willing to work with us to get the job (substrate, subflooring, ongoing maintenance) done right, and they kept their showroom open late on a weekend to accomodate us.

Any idea what should this cost per sq foot? A general range would be helpful. I have an 800 sqft apt with floors that haven't been updated wince the 60's.

Thanks!

Refinishing should cost you anywhere from $2-$5 sq ft
