I am first home buyer and looking for 1~2bedroomm. My budget is around 800k. Which area has more potencial investment-wise? Help me! NY has much better value than nj? With 800k, I can buy 2bed rooms new condo there's no great city view though. But with this money, I just can buy 1 bed in brooklyn heights. Even 1 bedroom, BH has more value?

I say go Williamsburg, LIC, Downtown Brooklyn, Carroll Gardens and or Clinton Hill

Brooklyn Heights is a beautiful historic neighborhood and probably will not decrease in value. However, if you are looking for more value for your money, there are other good neighborhoods in Brooklyn where you can still buy a 2 bedroom for around 800k. I am in contract for a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment with private terrace in Boreum Hill for around that price. It's a great neighborhood with good transportation, lots of shops, restaurants, and other amenities.
