Skim quoting estimate

Recently got an estimate to skim coat walls/ceiling in a 1 bedroom on the UWS, approx 700/750 sq feet pre-war building, includes fiber mesh on walls and then complete painting of apt. The quote was $13,000 for the skim coat and $7,000 for the painting which I thought was exorbitant. Curious if anyone has comparable costs and experience. Tx.

13K or so for the skim plus paint job sounds more correct to me.

I paid 8k for skim coating and painting 500 sq foot pre-war about a month ago. Get more quotes you should be able to find something better.
