Discussion about
Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez has sold his Rushmore condominium for a significant profit just 10 months after buying it last March, the Wall Street Journal reported. Rodriguez put the unit on the market in October with Modlin Group President Adam Modlin for $8 million, seven months after he purchased it for $5.5 million. http://therealdeal.com/blog/2012/01/24/a-rod-catches-substantial-profit-from-rushmore-flip/
Well maybe only if your name was a-rod.
must have been a yankee fan
Picking one apartment and saying "real estate" is lousy analysis enough.
Forgetting the fact that folks pay extra for celebrity apartments is double lousy...
ummmm...joke
I'd say I hope so... but if it was, is it actually funny?
It's all about the timing. If A-Rod tried to sell in October he wouldn't have gotten half of that.
"the third-baseman’s high-profile purchase in the building last year increased interest in the building, positively impacting both the sales pace and the sales prices, brokers said. It is unclear why Rodriguez sought to flip the apartment so quickly"
So this is why RE got strong last Spring.. Hummmm
"Real Estate up 45% in 10 months " based on one observation?? funny
As dumb as showing one apartment selling for $500/sf somewhere in Manhattan, and extrapolating that all Manhattan real estate is going to $500/sf....
If by one you mean 735 listings in manhattan with ppsf of $500 to $600 currently and growing by the day.
Yes call me an 'extrapolator!'. That Lawrence Yun you borkers kowtow to.... It's more akin to following Hitler down a blind alley. But you keep goose stepping matsonjones. One two. One two.
Ja wohl, mein w67thstreet!
Real estate for sale in Manhattan
We found 816 listings for no more than $600 per ft²
Median price: $410,000 Median size: 920 ft² Median price per ft²: $473
That is up 10% from 735 2 hours ago. :)
Danka truthy. Hilarious that my prediction has come true and now it's 'there's only one! argument'
