Discussion about
we are looking for a place for our family. we are active types, we have a small hobie cat, paddle boards and kayaks and surfboards. we have two young kids 7-9. we are looking for a laid back community, a place to store the hobie cat, some yard space since we live in the city but also a community for our kids so they have lots to do and still want to come to the beach when they are teens. we do not need night life or shopping. suggestions on where to look?

It sounds like you want to buy but are not familiar with the Hamptons at all. I strongly suggest you rent for at least two summers first. That way you will get to know all areas of the Hamptons before you commit to buy.

depends on your budget .. agree renting for one season is the way to go until you fig out the different areas ... commute time will play a factor btw city and out east May-Sept

You cannot narrow down your search until you know how much you are willing to spend.

sag harbor is the best, center of the hamptons. southampton is great for surfing. Sag Harbor is great for kids. You dont need to look any further. It won again for the 2nd year in a row for best town in the Hamptons. Look no further!!!!! Renting is a great idea to give you a clearer perspective. Great time of year to look for a summer rental. Money well spent

I am an agent and have two rental properties available in Bridgehampton South. You can view them here http://www.townrealestate.com/tsarcone . There is no fee for the renter. Thanks.
