Discussion about
I went into contract after giving my downpayment in October. Now in January, a month before closing they want to break contract, and change Jardin into rentals and not give us the condo. Did this also happen to you? Is it possible that they can do this without any sanctions!?
Have they actually broken your contract, or are they trying to get you to agree to break the contract? Big difference.
i read about this recently....wondering how its goign to turn out - please keep us updated.
i'm assumign they are going to have to buy you out.
They haven't broken contract yet. No legal notice has been sent but we where notified of their intentions! I want to get in contact with those who they are doing the same thing to. All they want is to give money back with interest, it's a joke. They should give us the apartment and rent the ones without contract out
It's not breaking the contract if they are exercising a right they have under the contract. What does the contract say (and the Offering Plan may be relevant to as to when they have not turning back on creating a condo). Odds are they are not doing anything legally improper (as irritating as that might be).
Any explanation as to why they are doing this? It seems strange since it sounds like it was selling well. Both rentals and sales are going well in Williamsburg.
explanation was that they had calculated their costs wrong and that it is going to be more profitable for them the rentals. This is ridiculous how they can set everything up, sell it to you, have my money for more than 4 months and then just pull back.
