Sale at 161 West 61st Street #14E

I don't live there, but have been looking at the Lincoln Center area. The building is actually right on the Fordham Campus, so you cannot get any more convenient than that. I think Fordham sold off the two corners of 60th/Amsterdam and 62nd/Amsterdam to Glenwood Management, who plans to build some really tall luxury rental buildings there. So essentially, The Alfred would be "stuck" in the middle. The Fordham construction consist of 2 phrases, and I think the second phrase won't be completed until 2024 or something. But this is NYC, there is always some construction work going on all the time.

I wonder though...will this huge Fordham project help with the prices in the nearby buildings, or hurt it? I mean, I can see lots of buildings behind affected along Columbus like 44 W 62 st, Harmony 61 W 62 St, Sofia 43 W 61, Beaumont 30 W 61. Because all these tall buildings will block off their western or southwestern views.

However, do you think it'll help because parents of Fordham students would want to buy an apartment for their kid or something?
