Hi. I'm looking to do a new floor in my co-op. I have the original parquet from my 1960s-built building so I anticipate installing on to cement. I am curious if it's better to go with click or glue-down for this process. Two contractor bids offered two different opinions. So I'd like to hear what people have to say here. As for choices: I'd like to do something sustainable so am considering FSC-certified hardwood or strand bamboo. It seems on these forums, people don't love bamboo. Is strand perhaps more durable? My research into this also turned up eucalyptus as an option. Does anyone have experience with eucalyptus floors? I also like the variation in acacia which is probably not very eco-friendly but I welcome input if anyone has installed acacia and has an opinion. I know. Lots of questions! Input welcome. Thank you. Partial to hardwood, especially the golden finishes. Can't go wrong. No one ever compalins about that flooring type.
Thanks gottabrain.
