Sale at 409 Edgecombe Avenue, #9D

I saw this place at an open house. it's much darker than the pictures, to be sure. They don't show a pic of the living room, the window of which the owner closed off with blinds, so it felt like a cave. Reason being that the window faces another unit straight across the airshaft. The bedroom has the only view, but it's a nice view out onto the expansive East side. Feels smaller than the pictures; Pre-war details are intact but needs everything scraped off of the over-painted boards, I think. Building is nice but I am not sure about the financial situation of the co-op, I heard there were some issues. Access to subway okay, but a bit sketchy if you walk up, better walk is to 145th st subway. I think for below $300,000 it would be okay, right now it's overpriced.

There's a picture of the living room, maybe you missed it. looks like the lights are on, is it really that dark? I agree about the price, i'm thinking about 295K. Have you heard anything about the financials, the old posts say the treasurer went missing. Too bad a lot of HDFC's in Harlem have some kind of issue.
