Lease renewal

When do landlords in Manhattan need to tell you if they are going to renew the lease. I live in a market rate apt and absolutely love my second floor apartment. I am the only real tenant in the building (greenwich village townhouse) and the landlord is a recluse who lives upstate (and is definitely crazy--though I've never met or spoken to him--we communicate through the management company). I've paid my rent on time, and have had no issues. My lease is up in 60 days and I reached out to management to renew my lease, but haven't heard back yet. How much lead time do landlords/management typically give with a lease renewal. Thanks, Sally
