Can someone recommend a reputable contractor who has experience in sound proofing a wall (singer next door)? Thanks.

I do not know how bad a sound problem you have but we have used QuiteRock http://www.quietrock.com/
All you have to do is laminate it to your existing wall. I say all you have to do because any decent contractor should be able to do it for you
