Discussion about
Went to the open house for this place on Sunday. Disinterested sales agents showing off another poorly conceived new construction building. The developer must be confused because this is New York, not California. Why else would you have an entirely open air apartment entrance set-up? You open your door and you're immediately outside. This type of construction is very common in warmer climates, but it's just plain stupid here. They are actually "looking into" installing a plastic screen to prevent the snow from piling up on the exterior "hallway." The finishes are crap. Steel cabinet doors, WHITE galore (cabinets, appliances). Can't imagine actually using these kitchens, you'll need a live in maid to keep it clean. These will go rental.

Agree 100% with rrmm2425. They think they are in Cali or Miami with that open air set up! Hello? It's in Crown Heights!! Very poor quality construction and horrible finishes. I went there over a year ago to check out the units and it was still in a bad shape back then. The pool in that building is a joke.

here's the park you missed: The Collection, a pioneering condominium that combines modern design with an incredible suite of amenities to create a luxury resort lifestyle that you can experience everyday of the year.

no luxury resort feelings?
not even as a last resort feelings?

Indeed, those "open" designs are all about bringing the outside "in". That works when you're in a beautiful setting in California or Florida. But not when what's "outside" is ... Crown Heights!

What a weird name for a building. "Collection" makes it sound like it's in foreclosure.
