Discussion about
Hey I just purchased a 1bdrm and I'm completely renovating it. Without moving into the sub-zero/viking ballpark, what appliances should I look into? A few friends have mentioned GE Cafe, any thought? Any help or advice offered would be appreciated, thanks!

There's a lot of ground between Sub-Zero and GE Cafe. For cooking, take a look at Capital Ranges or the offerings from GE Monogram. KitchenAid has also invested heavily in reproducing many of the features offered in the Wolf rnages. For refrigeration, take a look at Liebherr.

We love our Bosch stove. A great stove at a better price point. And I know they make a great d/w too.

If you google good housekeeping and "range" or "dishwasher" etc., you will find their picks with reviews. It's not a bad place to start.

I bought a Frigidaire refrigerator and couldn't be happier with it. I personally avoid GE. I knew people who worked in the appliance division in Louisville, KY and even they wouldn't buy the brand even with the employee discount. Pick up a Consumer Reports or subscribe online - their recommendations are top notch and the models are at the price points you are looking for.

Yeah Ive been shopping around for a 42 inch built it and even thought they are all the same size supposedly, dont want any surprises.
That being said, Im replacing a GE monogram and I can see no reason for replacing it with the $1500+ cheaper GE profile.

"though" not thought and "see no reason for NOT replacing it..."

I really need to proof read my posts
