Discussion about 415 East 80th Street in Yorkville
I noticed significant cracks in one of the apartments now on sale (5R) - I noticed also a crack on the bottom of the kitchen wall - I noticed in this and another apt on the same floor (5L) that the floors are uneven - All in all I have concerns about the structure of this building - I asked one of the brokers about it but did not get a straight answer. I imagine an inspections is needed to find out what is going on.
I believed that building is under a major wall and roof repair which is totally normal for any building over 50 years old; once it's done will be benefit for any new future buyer.
5L currently has a roof leak in the living room.
Does anyone know if the structural issues mentioned historically in this discussion section still exist for this building? I saw the posts from 2009 and 2012, but I am not sure if they have been fixed by the building, or still pending to be fixed.
Also, if any previous buyers and current resident don't mind sharing, are there any issues with this building? Anything small or major, I did notice the lobby ceiling is sort of cracked, is that due to the structural issue, or leaks?
Thank you and Happy New Year
