i need a lawyer to draw up the contract...what are the cost for this process, when selling a co-op? i am the seller....i got quote from $2500 to 725......

$2500 is the norm. Some will do $1500-2000.
You need a lawyer not just to draw up the contract, but to negotiate and pick at any clause that may not favor you.

there is a boilerplate contract that everyone in NYC uses. Job of seller's lawyer, IMHO, is to add riders for your specific situation (for example, if this is a co-op purchaser, that you seen have X or Y financial disclosure that you know might cause a turndown) and, if you have no broker, run the deal -- keep the buyer from missing their loan commitment deadline, that sort of thing.

I wouldn't go cheapest because you don't really need the "legal" part -- you need the deal-running part, and so you don't want someone with an extremely high-volume/low-time dedication business model.
