Looking to renovate a 1-bedroom in UES co-op

My grandma's apartment, while very well-maintained, is horrendously outdated and she's looking to renovate. Here it the floorplan http://www.corcoran.com/images/media/ListingFloorplans/2104417.1.gif She's primarily looking to skim and paint living room and bedroom walls, and remove the wallpaper + paint/tile the kitchen walls. That's the core stuff that definitely needs to get done. Depending on the total cost of that, she's also considering replacing or re-facing the kitchen cabinets and re-tiling the bathroom floor. Can anyone recommend a good contractor for the above work? And any ideas on approximate cost? Thanks!

Try JC Martin & Sons (http://www.jcmartinrenovation.com), I've used them before - very reliable. They are licensed and insured which is usually required for coops or condos. You can reach them at 347-746-8439.

Do most GC's also do kitchen refacing or should that be done by a specialize company?
