How do I get a commitment letter quickly?

I found an apartment at a great price, but they are requiring a commitment letter (*not* pre-approval) before extending a contract. I'd like to take it off the market ASAP because it's a pretty good deal. I have excellent credit and this apartment is well within my means (debt/income would be about 20%). What's the fastest way to get a commitment letter?
