Renting was always such a bargain compared with buying here, especially since lifestyle changes would obviously mean that I'd want to upgrade and upgrading is better if renting than if you buy and have all the hassle and costs. don't lose any sleep about buying. No need to own real estate as an asset. NYC prices are poised to fall.

Yes, I did underprice it last year by approximately 9%, thus greater increase this year.
Historically, highest rental ever. I hope it keeps up that way.

ba294, what kind of units do you own?
NYCMatt, Amen. It ways always expensive though, now again getting more expensive like after I moved here in 2002 it was pretty much up every year above inflation except a few years 2009, 2010, 2011.
