Near Brooklyn prices are up and bidding wars are the norm. A fine example: http://streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/673801-coop-228-degraw-street-carroll-gardens-brooklyn up 25% since 'peak' flip^3 I don't see a lot of traffic on SE about this bc the forums are so manhattan focused but for the last 6 months the near Brooklyn re markets have been extremely hot. MY timing as a potential buyer is not so great. Congrats to all who got in before the 'recession'.

asking and getting are 2 different things. they are asking more then $1K psf. good luck with that. just want it sit there and get chopped and chopped and chopped.

There has been stabilty and even strength in all parts of Brooklyn but Williamsburg.
