Anything along 6th-7th Avenue from 34th to 9th Street or the West Village near Christopher and Hudson/Greenwich. That is where the PATH stops that takes you directly to JC (three stops in JC Newport, Grove and Journal Square). If you drive you want to be in the West Village, Tribeca area so you are close to the Holland tunnel. Fidi or even better Battery Park City City is also an option as there is also a PATH train from the World Trade Center that goes to JC.
