Discussion about
I'm looking to replace a toilet and it seems there are places online to get it (like amazon). But I have heard stories that internet-shipped toilets sometimes arrived cracked so I was hoping to find a local Toto distributor/store. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you check Home Depot?

If a large percentage of online bought toilets arrived cracked, then faucetdirect.com, faucetdepot.com, and nationalbuildersuppy.com would all be out of business.

I have family members who bought locally and received cracked toilet/sink upon delivery and the store refused to accept a return and blamed it on their installers.

Buying locally does not guarantee you won't get a cracked toilet. Nor does it guarantee a reasonable return policy.

I will be ordering mine online from someplace with a good return policy.

bought mine from wayfair.com, the toilet came cracked, they shipped out a new one no-questions-asked and didn't make me return the old one. and I saved $200

Hardware Designs Inc. in New Jersey, extension 11 warehouse. Ask and he will deliver. Don't go through sales, ask for the warehouse.

Smolka was great when we renovated two baths. Supplied all necessary fixtures, delivered and stood behind everything.Easy to work with to boot.

Simon's Hardware on 3rd Avenue in Murray Hill. Ask for Ian, he will help you out.

I bought a lot from Homeclick. No issues with damaged items, but I would recommend calling to see if item is in stock. Otherwise it could take a couple of weeks to ship. Same applies to faucetdirect, efaucet and the like.
