Fannie Mae Waiver?

I am attempting to refinance in a condo with strong financials and I personally am in a strong position. However, I am getting feedback that Fannie Mae will not approve the loan because the sponsor owns 14% of the units. Does anyone have any feedback on the waiver process to get Fannie Mae to finance this? Or- does anyone have any recommendations on a financing entity that does not have such restrictions and has competitive rates? Thanks, Brian
