Discussion about
Just curious if anyone knows the cost of putting up a real wall (not temporary) with a door and electrical outlet? (roughly would be about 9 foot long and a 2 foot diagonal) Also how much would it cost to get a change in the CO. Any help would really be appreciated.
I am having this done as well, along with some other work (including floors). Will need to ask contractor just the cost of those pieces. You need to consider permits and architect (talk to super to see if you can skip this step, but will need to give sizable contribution to his retirement fund). It adds up my friend. I'm told that framing a wall is pretty simple (are you having insulation installed); it's all those other costs that will get you. I'll get back to you on this next week.
thank new2RE, just curious what are you paying the architect for? to draw the plans or just for his signature. My uncle is an architect (not in NY), and was told that I could just have him draw the plan and just pay an NY architect to review and sign the plan, to cut down on the cost. Do you know if this is true?
It's a wall. You don't need an architect.
If it has to go through DOB, hire an expediter.
