Discussion about
Brooklyn Hearth Realty is advertising this building as a dogs-allowed building, but many previous listings on Streeteasy say it is a no-dog building. Here is current ad: http://streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/659167-coop-811-cortelyou-road-kensington-brooklyn And here is one example of past listing where "no dogs" is clearly spelled out: http://streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/472486-coop-811-cortelyou-road-kensington-brooklyn Is this just an innocent broker error?

they most likely just asked the owner without bothering to verify with the management. i would verify with the management to ensure the change. based on my experience, lived in the neighb for 10 yrs, there is most likely a no dog policy in the building.

thanks. It seems over the top to me for a broker to go out of their way to say something is so, when it's not.

If the broker were uncertain, he could just leave it out. But they actually went to the trouble of putting it in the ad, when it's not true!

unfortunately, brooklyn hearth does not have the best rep. i had acquantances during the bubble who signed with them for a 6 month exclusive and had only 5 showings in that time. they got someone else and had 5 showing in the first week or so. then sold within a month of that.

Strange that you would post here rather than asking the broker. Coops change their policy all the time. The coop I am working with just decided to switch in order to boost sales.

And what surprises you? Maybe they should proof read their listings. Innocent error I think not.
