This is by far the worst rental building I have ever lived in in my life. The apartments are mediocre at best. The new renovation is a joke. They charge 20% extra rent for putting in a granite countertop in the ridiculously tiny kitchen and covering the cabinets with cheap vinyl cover that peels off in a month. Once you are in, they raise your rent by double digits every year claiming that such raise is market driven despite clear evidence to the contrary. They refuse to negotiate even when you bring an abundance of data about market prices in the neighborhood, including other apartments in the Westmont and the Key West, which are owned by the same management company. The basic business model is to try to extort existing tenants, knowing that it's a hassle to move and people are willing to overpay not to go through the trouble. After they drive you out, they end up renting it out for less than you were willing to pay, once they discover that no one else is willing to pay such inflated, outrageous prices, but that of course, does not help you at that stage.....Bottom line - it is a one year gig and it is definitely not worth it.
