If you search "movers" in the "Search Discussions" window to the right you will find many, many, many threads on movers. Pick any one of them since they all pretty much rehash the same companies and concensus about them of posters here. Good luck.

Hi,
Divine moving, I feel very comfortable recommending them. I have had 4 moves with them - amazing, full stop.
Under the existing post "WHAT'S A GOOD MOVING COMPANY?" in search discussions. I talk about my experiences with them.
Good luck with your move.

if you like getting what you pay for, and not paying extra when the job is 1/2 complete, use flatrate.

We used Oz in October and they were exceptional. Their pack and move was reasonably priced, they did what they said they would, nothing broke, etc. HIGHLY recommend (and man, have I had some baaaad moves over the years with other companies).

We used Oz for our recent move... Their estimate was firm (all-inclusive flat rate), and the crew did an exceptional job. We packed ourselves - but the crew did all the furniture. We had some very fragile marble and granite pieces, and they packed the daylights out of it. Very pro. Easy to work with before and during the move, And they priced about 25% less than Flat Rate. I see Oz in my neighborhood all the time -- they must be doing something right.

I was very happy with Oz for a big move a few months ago. I had a month between leaving my old place and moving into the new one, so I had everything picked up, moved into Oz storage for a month, and delivered.
Based on other threads here and personal recommendations I had both Oz and Flatrate come out for estimates. I had been leaning towards Flatrate, but based on the lower quote and more responsive customer service when it came to responding to calls and emails I went with Oz. The Oz quote for picking up and moving into storage was only slightly less than Flatrate, but Flatrate charged the same for delivery from storage as they did for pickup whereas Oz was about half of the pickup charge.
They used a ton of tape, packing paper, and boxes, which I expected to be charged extra for but wasn't. I paid exactly what I'd been quoted.
They sort of bungled re-assembly of my son's crib but otherwise did a great job.

I had an easy and affordable move with Intense Movers.
I used iMove Green and really liked them. They treat their trucks so you cannot get bed bugs and are more environmentally friendly than a lot of other movers that I looked at.

Used OZ recently and was pretty happy with it..Only $38 dollars is box/tape/shrink-wrap charges which i thought was reasonable.
Will post the rates here so people can compare(apparantly companies hate that)..
3 people at $120/hr charged for 30 min travel time. It was a monday mid-month move (this affects the rate)
Took them around 5.75 hours total. It was pouring rain, but they did a good job.
Nothing broke..they tried their best to move fast so stuff didn't get too wet. They were super careful not to bump / nick the walls.
Crew chief i had was Andi. I gave them a $160 tip.
