Discussion about
We have a 1600sf space down in chelsea and we are thinking of keeping our open ceiling but changing the lighting scheme in the space. Excluding the actual lighting fixtures, what would a lighting/electricity job cost if we think of a grid of 40 lighting points(including wiring, new switches etc..). We don't want to break any walls but keep all wires visible on the ceiling.
Gfree,
Since it's an open space it would cost you less than running the wiring thru the ceilings and walls. I would say this would cost you anyway between 6k - 10k. You may want to consider installing molding enclosures for the wiring down the switches for better looks.

gfree,
I concur with ArxConstruction. Do you need removal of existing lighting, minor patch work? I recommend conduit if you are anti-wall breaking. Will happily look at this job. E-mail me if you need a real number.
