Discussion about
Looking to rent a 2BR in Carroll Gardens or Park Slope or Cobble Hill. Can anyone suggest a good broker who knows the area and won't waste my time showing me exactly what I didn't ask for? TIA!

You've got to call NICOLE MAY of LG FAIRMONT. She lives in Park Slope as well, and has terrific reviews she can share with you. Call her at 646-745-6762 and say Robin recommended her. nlmay@lgfairmont.com

Years ago I used Alan Gerovitz (he is now with Elliman). He does Carroll Garden's and Cobble Hill. I was just out of school and didn't have a lot of money and Alan listened to what I wanted (and didn't try to push me to a more expensive apartment) and showed me apartments that met my needs and wants (I wanted a large one bedroom with an updated kitchen and bathroom). Alan showed me only apartments that met those qualifications - every other broker I talked to showed me stuff that didn't' meet my needs (one showed me small studio, furnished for 40% more than my max budget - didn't listen to a word I said). Alan has been in the business for years. I don't speak highly of many brokers, but think Alan is great.
