Crown Molding Crack

I recently (3 weeks ago) got some crown molding installed in my bedroom. The entire room was painted as well. Today, I saw some hairline horizontal cracks between the crown molding and ceiling. Is this normal? Should I expect to see this around the entire room? Can I fix this myself, or call the contractor who installed them. Thanks so much.

If it's been only 3 weeks since the install & you already have concerns, I think you should call the contractor & address the problem with them ~ ASAP.

svengoli123,

Crown molding is expected to crack over time due to change in temperatures and from the building settling. Three weeks seems a little early but either way you should call the contractor and he should have no problem sending someone over
