Listing rental without a broker

Outside of showings and convenience, do people think a broker is needed to get a house (~$50k for summer) rented? Will renters brokers avoid the house even if they are promised 5% fee? From my personal network, it seems like most of the people try to source places on their own - streeteasy, VRBO, etc.

just make sure that you have anairtight lease. You can also try Craig's list.
