Discussion about
If we want to: replace standard tub with jacuzzi, replace vanity, retile bath; replace stove, remove one upper cab, install recycling hood and ss backsplash behind range; paint; have builtins installed; what do we need for permits?

Palomalou,

You should ask your management company. In my experience they will want the plumber to pull a permit which only takes a day or two.

Also, please make sure your building will let you install a jacuzzi tub, many will not

Thanks. i asked the super today whether other people had, & he said call the management co. It's a condo, but acts more like a coop.

the "break" (replace, as in cast iron which oft need to be broken with a sledge) the tub part is what will require a permit. the rest not.
