this weekend we took the family (and a boyfriend, the daughter's not the son's although there would be nothing wrong about that) to six flags new england. i had never been on the former superman coaster, now bizarro. the new son is more than a bit frightened of roller coasters (he'd never been on one), the boyfriend ran out of the line and sulked. i was sitting next to the new son, and i have to say i had one of those moments where i thought maybe i'd crossed the line into child abuse, he looked so unbelievably terrified. i thought it was the best, and looking at roller coaster reviews today i learned that many reviewers have named it the top one or two steel roller coaster in the country for the majority of the last decade. he's still shaken, a bit, but highly self-satisfied that he did it.

Well, aboutready, I certainly don't want to be accused of Elderkravitz Abuse tomorrow, so I won't force the issue.

I'm going to be with my friend Russell today, working on the book we're writing. Cindy Adams read a sample chapter and wrote an item about the book in her NY Post column on August 15th. Russell still goes out on tours so we try to write whenever we can be in the same place together. Not the fastest way to get a book written but there's no rush. We were offered a book contract by several publishers but we would rather take our time since we don't need the advance money.

But that's not important nor relevant to this discussion topic. ;)

It's a book about Russell Schlagbaum's life. He has great stories but not great writing skills.
I'm co-writing it with him and some stories about our adventures together in the music biz will be in there when we get to the point in his life where we met. He's older than I am so that's a long way from where we are now in the book.

I'm still doing photo research for the t.v. show based on our friend Tom Wright's book, "RoadWork".
Pete Townshend will help us produce the show and appear in it. That's a long way from happening because Pete is so busy and he's going out on another Who tour soon.

But that's not important nor relevant to this discussion topic either.

Maybe if I buy a "homeless black kid", claim and refer to him as my "son", write details about the unfortunate life he has with his real mother while giving out details about that woman while showing no concern for her; I will be as important as aboutready. and about as amusing as she is.
